York employ good quality control so their weights tend to be more consistent than others in shape, size and finish over the years.A 56kg kit is a sensible starting point for your weight training. This one has the main advantage over a 50kg kit in that it is comes with a 6ft bar which is often better for using with a normal size bench. And if you are buying a bench as well we would always recommend that you spend as much as you can on the bench rather than – as often happens – buying a huge weight kit (which in all likelihood you won`t be able to fully use for quite some time) and a cheap bench to go with it.You will outgrow a cheap lightweight bench quickly and have to buy another, which is a waste of time and money.
